JDP TERMS & CONDITIONS

These are the Terms and Conditions of Hire for JDP Leisure, it is the responsibility of the customer (hirer) to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the equipment. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

  1. No adults are allowed on the inflatables unless you have hired an adult bouncy castle, otherwise, the bouncy castles have an age limit of 12 years. It is strictly prohibited for both children and adults to be on the bouncy castle at the same time.

  2. You 'the hirer' are responsible for injury or damage occurring whilst the equipment is on hire and you are strongly advised to take out Public Liability Insurance covering the use of the inflatable whilst it is on hire to you.

  3. You 'the hirer' are responsible for checking the equipment will fit in the garden or venue, JDP Leisure takes no responsibility if equipment does not fit, if we turn up to delivery and equipment does not fit no refund will be issued.

  4. No food or drinks to be consumed on any of our equipment (to avoid choking & mess).

  5. All shoes, badges, jewellery, (i.e. large earrings, necklaces etc.) MUST be removed before using equipment, it is recommended that spectacles are also removed.

  6. No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or “silly string” must be used near or on the equipment, as they can make a terrible mess and permanently stain the unit.

  7. Do not glue/stick/attach or hang any bunting/signs to the bouncy castle or hire equipment, this will cause risks to the users and damage the equipment. Cleaning and repair charges will apply.
  8. No smoking near any of the equipment.

  9. Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls of the inflatables is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.

  10. A responsible adult must supervise when equipment is in use at all times.

  11. Ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded, and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are colliding into each other then it is too crowded.

  12. Try to avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time. Some children require strict supervision.

  13. If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains, this will reduce your electric bill!

  14. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron. The step is there to help users get on and off.

  15. Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable.

  16. Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.

  17. Ensure there is adequate space for the inflatable. We require at least 2ft on either side of the inflatable, plus 4ft of clearance behind the inflatable for the blower.
  18. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the hire equipment fits in their venue/garden/event. Product dimensions are available on each product listing. If you are unsure, please confirm venue dimensions with your chosen venue.
  19. Our team use sack trucks to transport the inflatables, please ensure the route to the inflatable site is 3ft wide and accessible.
  20. In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table placed over the blower, will help prevent rain-water being sucked into the blower, and then into the inflatable.

  21. The blower at the back may have a safety reset button. In the event that it overheats, or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains, and then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, or there is a power cut, inform us IMMEDIATELY.

  22. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.

  23. The Hirer is responsible for safe keeping of our inflatables and other equipment and you will be charged for any damage caused or if it they need deep cleaning after hire. If any of our add ons are missing parts on collection these are also chargeable, additional mileage and loss of hire costs will apply if we are unable to collect at agreed time.

  24. All units are checked on delivery and your signing below indicates acceptance of the inflatable as being in good, clean condition.

  25. The Customer (The Hirer) must advise the Company (JDP Leisure) of the location of any underground services on the site where the inflatable is to be set up.

  26. Inflatables are not to be operated in wind speeds in excess of 24mph. You ‘The Hirer’ are responsible for making sure the inflatable(s) is not operated and switched off if these wind speeds occur.

  27. If a generator is supplied, it will be delivered with a full tank of fuel, this is only to be supervised by a responsible adult, operating instruction will be given. If generator needs refuelling this would be down to the ‘hirer’ to supply the fuel and top up.

  28. Customers wishing to pay online must do so at least 2 days prior to their event.
  29. Customers wishing to pay cash on the day of the event must pay the delivery team prior to set up of the hire equipment.
  30. Customer cancellations are fully refundable when we are informed 7 days prior to the event date.
  31. If customers do not inform us of a booking cancellation with 7 days notice of the event date, the booking fee is non-refundable.
  32. We may have to cancel or rearrange bookings due to adverse weather conditions. This is for children/customer safety. Please refer to our Adverse Weather Policy
  33. We reserve the right to refuse hire in the event that the venue or customer's property is deemed unsuitable by us. Please check the sizes of the equipment and clearances required before delivery as full payment is due if inadequate space is available. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy
  34. We do not automatically refund customers for late delivery and collections if they are within a 30 minute window from the stated time on the booking form.
  35. If you have any issues or concerns on the day of your event, please contact us immediately so we can work towards a resolution with you.
  36. Abuse towards our delivery team will result in the hire equipment being removed from your event with no refund being issued.

Disclaimer

All people who use our bouncy castles do so at their own risk. The customer is responsible any for injuries and damages caused by negligence, recklessness or misuse.

The above guidelines are intended to ensure the safety of all users of the equipment. It is the Customers responsibility to ensure these guidelines are adhered to.

JDP Leisure cannot accept responsibility for any injuries or losses caused by the use of our equipment.

By booking, you accept you have read the above agreement in full and understand the conditions of hire. You also accept that you are responsible for the inflatable for the duration of your event and that you will pay for any damages or losses, including a cleaning or repair charge if the inflatable is returned in a damaged, dirty or otherwise unacceptable condition.
